To obtain a physical copy of your Aadhaar card, you can follow these steps:
1. Visit the official UIDAI website: Go to the UIDAI website at uidai.gov.in.
2. Select the "Download Aadhaar" option: On the UIDAI website homepage, click on the "Download Aadhaar" option under the "My Aadhaar" section.
3. Choose the appropriate option: On the "Download Aadhaar" page, you will have two options to download your Aadhaar: using your Aadhaar number (UID) or using your Enrolment ID (EID). Select the appropriate option based on the information you have.
4. Enter your details: Fill in the required details such as your Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID, full name, PIN code, and the security code displayed on the page.
5. Request OTP or TOTP: You will need to choose the method to receive the OTP (OneTime Password) or generate TOTP (Timebased OneTime Password) to authenticate the request. You can choose to receive the OTP on your registered mobile number or generate a TOTP using the mAadhaar mobile app.
6. Enter the OTP or TOTP: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number or enter the TOTP generated using the mAadhaar app.
7. Download and print: After successful verification, you will be able to download your Aadhaar card in PDF format. Open the downloaded PDF file and print a hard copy of your Aadhaar card.
Note: The printed copy of your Aadhaar card is equally valid and acceptable as the original Aadhaar card.
Keep in mind that the downloaded Aadhaar PDF is password protected. To open the PDF file, you will need to enter a password that consists of the first four letters of your name in CAPITAL letters, followed by your birth year in YYYY format. For example, if your name is Ravi Kumar and your birth year is 1990, the password will be "RAVI1990".
